Advanced Examples
Visual Editors
Simple Pagebuilder
This is a free tool that provides a visual interface for making simple HTML layouts.
MMM.page
HotGlue
These are kind of like a cross between Glitch and the Simple Pagebuilder. You have to sign up for them, but they're good options if you just want to make a site that's full of images and links without editing HTML. And what you learn today will help you edit any site you make.
Straw.page
This is like Hotglue and mmm.page, but optimized for using your phone to make a site
Cargo
Oh you wanna get fancy? Need a modern, professional looking site? Willing to pay about $20 a month for it? Sure you could use Squarespace or Wordpress, but Cargo is cooler, just as easy to use, and independent.
Text editors
You can't code in Word or Google Docs -- you need to edit plaintext. Here are some free tools to do that:
If you find yourself liking markdown, there are some great editors built just for that, without the extra features of a code editor.
- Obsidian is so, so useful for many things beyond writing markdown, but it also has one of the best interfaces for doing so. You can just write normally and it all becomes markdown.
- Moeditor is about as simple as you can get in an interface
- You can also just use Google Docs and export markdown
Make cool images
- Dithermark makes everything look cool.
- Pixlr is Photoshop in your browser

About this Site
This site is made on Glitch.com. Login to access your dashboard
It's running a site-generator called Eleventy, but you don't need to know that. If you're curious, check out their Help Center article.
It uses Octothorpes, which are hashtags you can use on independent websites.
